The Aravis Ski Area - La Clusaz / Grand Bornand - Quick Facts

• Massive ski area to explore and enjoy - The two villages (La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand) share the single Aravis ski pass that provides 220km of skiing and 95 lifts.  There are a huge variety of slopes suitable for all levels and extensive off-piste in the areas legendary powder.
• Quiet slopes - The area is primarily a massive winter playground for the beautiful nearby lakeside city of Annecy which means that, especially during week days and outside of the French peak weeks of New Year and February half term, there are quiet slopes, and rarely any queues.
• Fabulous snow record with skiing until May - With high altitude skiing (up to 2600m) and 208 snow canons covering virtually all the lower slopes you don't have to worry about a lack of snow.
• Great ski schools - There are a large choice of friendly English-speaking ski instructors who pride themselves on developing, nurturing and encouraging skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities.
• Picture postcard villages - The two villages are both gorgeous, magical French mountain villages that just happen to be in a phenomenal ski area.
• Great shops, restaurants and night life -The two villages have more than 300 shops and a huge selection of restaurants for all tastes and budgets.  Also, for those that have the energy after a hard days fun, there are 35 bars and 4 nightclubs to explore.
• Plenty of activities for non-skiers - The villages are a superb destination for non-skiers with a heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool, two ice-skating rinks, sledging, snowshoe walking, dog sledding and horse drawn sleigh rides.

• Short transfers - Due to the recently opened new motorway link the transfer time from Geneva airport is now under an hour.  (It is also a lot safer transfer than some of the torturous roads up to some ski resorts).
• Affordable - Lower prices (ski hire, eating out, shopping etc) than the more well known resorts which means you will spend a lot less once you get here than you would if you went elsewhere.

La Clusaz ended the season with more snow on the upper slopes than any other French ski resort  > 310cm Twice as much as Tignes!!!
